Tony Furtado is an inspired player who has gained respect through his virtuoso guitar and banjo playing. His deep understanding of traditional music is incorporated with a modern style that creates a sound that is distinct. These Chains was recorded in L.A. with producer Dusty Wakeman (Lucinda Williams, Dwight Yoakam) and features nine self-penned songs. Furtado also enlisted some notable writing collaborators including Al Anderson (NRBQ), Jim Lauderdale and Jules Shear on this album.
